Performance and Ofsted
Ofsted says Harris Primary Academy Philip Lane is moving towards ‘Outstanding’
We have been celebrating this week after receiving feedback from our recent ‘short inspection’ by Ofsted.
The inspectors praised the high-quality teaching and learning that they saw during their day with us, remarking that ‘the school has improved significantly overall’ since we were last inspected. Based on these improvements, they have recommended revisiting us for a full inspection soon. Will we let parents know when we are inspected again as we believe this will be an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our belief that we have become a truly ‘Outstanding’ school.
The Principal commented:
“We are delighted that Ofsted inspectors have seen significant improvements since their last visit and that our academy is moving towards ‘Outstanding’. I am particularly proud of their recognition of our high aspirations and determination to ensure that every child at Harris Primary Academy Philip Lane excels during their time with us.
“It is also pleasing that inspectors noted how positive parents are about the school – this is one of our most important relationships as a school and something we value tremendously.”
