Year 5 had the pleasure of staying for two nights and three days in Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding beauty. Over the 3 days, the children built shelters, lanterns and mini boats. They explored the stunning surroundings and played adventurous games in the forest. https://t.co/uQEBXBTw0g

Intent

Children will be numerically agile, given ample time to practice with appropriate manipulatives, in order to master the key fundamental skills.  They will learn and articulate the conceptual understanding behind different mathematical disciplines.  They will be confident in solving challenging mathematical problems deliberately focusing and articulating the systematic reasoning.
